The origin of the acaia or black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) is North America, in Europe Hungary has the greatest acacia forests (22% of the forests is Acacia). Acacia is a durable, hard specie with unique resistance against insects and pests compared to other species in Europe. It is quite durable against outdoors requisitioning, it is resistant against degradation for decades, so Acacia is highly recommended for outside use.
The most common application is the following: outside pole products, pickets, deckings, parquets, floorings, garden furniture and flower boxes.
